  • City Council Candidate Endorsement Forums This November marks the first time the Austin City Council will be elected by district instead of citywide. The new 10-1 Council will consist of 10 members elected by district and the Mayor elected at-large.The Stonewall Democrats of Austin will be holding two Candidate Forums and Endorsement meetings to allow our members to hear from those candidates who filled out our candidate questionnaire.The forums will be held in the Smith Auditorium of the Congregation Beth Israel (3901 Shoal Creek Blvd) on Wednesday, August 27th and Thursday, September 4th.
