  • Stonewall Endorsements - City Council, School Board & Propositions The Stonewall Democrats of Austin are pleased to announce the results of our endorsement vote for the 2020 Austin City Council, school boards, and the City of Austin Transportation Propositions. Candidates needed to get at least 60% of the votes cast in their race to earn the endorsement. In races where there were three or more candidates and no single candidate met the threshold but two candidates received at least 40% of the votes, then a dual endorsement was given.Early Voting runs from October 13 - 30 and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.   • Austin City Council & Education Candidate Questionnaire & Responses Because of COVID-19 the Stonewall Democrats of Austin have had to modify our candidate endorsement process for the November 4 General Elections. On September 14 and 21 Stonewall and the Liberal Austin Democrats held two joint virtual candidate forums with City Council and School Board candidates. Our endorsement process requires that candidates must complete a questionnaire in order to be considered for endorsement. Candidates were sent the questionnaire on September 21 and had to return it by September 28.
