Out & Equal publishes open letter template and talking points for companies to use in response to anti-LGBT "Religious Freedom" laws proposed in their states.
During last week's Out & Equal Executive Forum, news broke of the passing of a discriminatory religious exemption law in Indiana. With nearly 50 LGBT executives participating, the Executive Forum participants saw the opportunity and need for a tool they could share with their companies to demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We are proud to share the results of the work of many of these LGBT leaders and our own Out & Equal team: an open letter and talking points for companies and individuals to use for their communications and conversations about the discriminatory effects of religious exemption laws.
"Major corporations are leading the way where state and federal law falls short. Corporations understand it is bad for business if they operate in states that are labeled as discriminatory," said Selisse Berry, Out & Equal founder and CEO.
